CheckBiz.eu displays public registry data for European companies. Sensitive fields such as directors, ownership and sanctions screening only appear inside paid reports. We do not sell personal data. Data controller: AddonNordic ApS, Denmark (CVR 46495985), contact@addonnordic.dk.

Purchases

Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see your card number. We store the resulting purchase record (payment session id, buyer email, report snapshot, expiry) solely to give you access to your report and to email you the link. Report links expire after 30 days.

This website

This site and the app at platform.checkbiz.eu set no tracking cookies. We count visits with Plausible Analytics, a cookie-free service hosted in the EU that does not collect personal data or track you across sites. The contact form is emailed to us and not stored in the website’s database. Emails (contact-form messages, report links and Brand Watch messages) are delivered via Resend; Resend is a US company, so message metadata passes through US infrastructure under standard contractual clauses.

Brand Watch

When you run a free Brand Watch scan we store your website, brand name and work email, and the scan results, so we can email you the report. If you subscribe, we also store your account email and your subscription status (payments by Stripe). When you ask us to send takedown requests, we send them on your behalf to the shop platform, payment provider, hosting provider, domain registrar and registry of the website you report; your email address is included as the reply-to address and in copy, so they can answer you directly.

To find lookalike websites we look up public information about other domains: registration records, DNS, hosting records and the public content of the website. We ask an AI assistant (Perplexity, through OpenRouter) where to buy your brand’s products; that question contains your brand name only, never personal data. Brand Watch data is stored with our hosting and database providers (Railway; Supabase through Lovable Cloud). Free-scan data is deleted automatically after 12 months. Subscription data is kept while you are a customer and deleted on request after you cancel, unless the law requires us to keep invoices longer. The legal basis is our contract with you, or for a free scan our legitimate interest in answering your request.

You can sign in to Brand Watch with a link sent to your email, or with your Google or Apple account. If you choose Google or Apple, they confirm who you are and share your email address with us, and your name if you allow it. With Apple you can hide your email, and we then receive a private relay address from Apple that forwards to you. We never see your Google or Apple password. The sign-in runs through our app platform (Lovable Cloud, built on Supabase), which stores your account: your email address, your name if shared, which sign-in method you used, and when you last signed in. Google and Apple are US companies and handle the sign-in under their own privacy policies. The legal basis is our contract with you. We delete your account on request.

Registry data and your rights

Company data shown on this service comes from official public sources: national business registries, the EU VIES VAT system, GLEIF and public sanctions lists. If you believe data about you is shown incorrectly, contact the issuing registry — and write to us at contact@addonnordic.dk so we can review how it is presented. You have the rights the GDPR gives you: access, rectification, erasure of data we control, and complaint to Datatilsynet.

Merchant Check

A free Merchant Check key is anonymous: we store a hash of the key, the month’s lookup count and any credits, and no name or email. For each lookup we log the time, the first characters of the key, the domain checked and the result, to count usage and improve the service; logs are kept for 24 months. To limit abuse, your IP address is held in memory for one day when a key is created, and not stored. Lookup packs are paid through Stripe, which processes your payment details; we only receive the payment status.

To answer a lookup we read at most four public pages of the shop’s website, its domain registration record and certificate, and public registers. Answers are about companies: sole traders are shown without their name, and individuals are not screened. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in providing the service you request.
